Prohibited Items Policy

WashAuction is a marketplace exclusively for car wash equipment, parts, and related commercial supplies. To maintain trust and safety for all users, the following categories of items are prohibited from being listed on our platform.
Violations of this policy may result in listing removal, account suspension, or permanent banning from the platform. If funds are held in escrow for a prohibited listing, they will be refunded to the buyer.
1. Non-Car-Wash Equipment
- Consumer household items (home pressure washers, garden hoses, etc.)
- Automotive repair tools not specifically designed for car wash operations
- General-purpose industrial equipment with no car wash application
- Personal vehicles or non-commercial equipment
2. Hazardous Materials & Chemicals
- Bulk hazardous chemicals without proper SDS documentation
- Expired or recalled chemical products
- Chemicals banned by the EPA or state environmental agencies
- Unlabeled or improperly labeled chemical containers
- Radioactive materials or equipment containing radioactive sources
3. Stolen or Misrepresented Goods
- Equipment with removed, altered, or defaced serial numbers
- Items the seller does not have legal right to sell
- Equipment subject to liens, financing agreements, or legal holds
- Counterfeit parts or equipment falsely branded as OEM
- Items obtained through fraud, theft, or illegal means
4. Recalled or Unsafe Equipment
- Equipment subject to active manufacturer or CPSC recalls
- Items with known safety defects that have not been repaired
- Electrical equipment that does not meet UL, CSA, or equivalent safety standards
- Equipment modified in ways that compromise safety features
5. Restricted Electrical & Plumbing
- Unlicensed electrical panels or subpanels
- Equipment requiring professional installation sold as plug-and-play
- Backflow preventers or water treatment systems without proper certifications
- Equipment with known electrical faults sold as working
6. Services, Digital Goods & Non-Physical Items
- Installation or maintenance service contracts
- Software licenses (unless bundled with physical equipment)
- Franchise opportunities or business-for-sale listings
- Gift cards, vouchers, or financial instruments
- Real estate or commercial property
7. Weapons, Firearms & Explosives
- Any type of weapon or ammunition
- Explosive devices or materials
- Items primarily designed to cause harm
8. Other Prohibited Items
- Items that violate any federal, state, or local law
- Equipment containing asbestos or lead paint (unless properly disclosed and handled)
- Items that infringe on intellectual property, patents, or trademarks
- Listings used primarily for advertising or lead generation rather than actual sale
- NFTs, cryptocurrency mining equipment, or unrelated digital assets
Condition Disclosure Requirements
While not prohibited, the following items require accurate condition disclosure. Failure to properly disclose condition may result in disputes being resolved in the buyer's favor:
- Equipment sold as "For Parts" must be clearly marked and described
- Refurbished equipment must disclose what was refurbished and by whom
- Equipment with cosmetic damage must include photos of the damage
- Used chemical products must disclose approximate remaining quantity
- Equipment with missing components must list what is missing

If you see a listing that you believe violates this policy, please report it using the "Report Listing" link on the listing page, or contact us at trust@washauction.com. All reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
